Introducing a new thing: Dollmaking Tutorials by Fig and Me.
THIS IS A PDF TUTORIAL, DOESNT INCLUDE SUPPLIES, NOT A FINISHED DOLL.
NO REFUNDS ON PATTERNS/TUTORIALS SO ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE PURCHASING.

This DOLLMAKING TUTORIAL walks you step-by-step to create a weft with Suri Alpaca locks (12" long) to be utilized for doll hair for a doll with a 9" head in circumference.
You can use wefts in any kind of dollmaking, whether your doll is ceramic, wood, resin or fabric.

The method of attaching the weft to the doll's head is via hand-sewing, which allows you to tailor it to perfection to fit your doll. This method wouldn't work with a plastic or ceramic doll for example, as you wouldn't be able to sew it on.

The tutorial is 30+ pages long and has detailed photos and instruction on how to create the wefts and attach them to the doll. It also contains care instructions for the locks, amounts of different fiber for different sized heads, a reasonable timeline of the entire process, a directory of suppliers, tools and materials needed, as well as recommendations and many tips.

I hope this tutorial encourages you to work with natural fiber locks and that it helps you create the most beautiful hair for your doll.
