Shankly Gates Print: Liverpool FC Anfield Stadium Art

This is a hand-drawn print of The Shankly Gates at Anfield – home of Liverpool FC.

With a seating capacity of 53,394, Anfield is the seventh largest football stadium in England. It’s been the home of Liverpool Football Club since their formation in 1892. Anfield was originally the home of Everton, from 1884 to 1891, before they moved to Goodison Park following a dispute with the club president.

The stadium now has four stands: the Spion Kop, the Main Stand, the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand and the Anfield Road End. The record attendance was set at 61,905 in 1952 when Liverpool played the Wolverhampton Wanderers and was converted to an all-seater stadium in 1994. Two gates at the stadium are named after former Liverpool managers: Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley, who have both been honoured with statues outside the stadium.

This beautiful piece of art was originally illustrated over many hours using pencil, fine liner and pro markers. Now it’s available as a high quality print in a variety of sizes framed or unframed. A lovely alternative to commercially produced football posters and canvas.

Whether it’s a birthday, house warming or any other special occasion, this print is a wonderful gift for any Liverpool FC fan.
