Our stylish soft sole baby and toddler sneakers are perfect for little boys and girls who are thinking about walking. Perhaps they have taken their first steps or have even mastered their run!

With a cotton canvas upper and a feather light, flexible rubber sole, this modern sneaker has your little guy/girl covered. Like all Gertrude and the King shoes, they’re machine washable (Hooray!!!) and the pull tag on the heel make them nice and easy to get on. Laces mean even the chubbiest little feet are taken care of too!

Why soft sole shoes? Recommended by Pediatricians & Podiatrists, soft sole shoes mimic bare feet and allow babies to improve their balance as well as strengthen all of those tiny muscles and toes. A firmer sole with minimal flexibility can interfere with all the hard work little feet need to do to establish their walking.

Please measure your little ones feet before ordering, do not go by age alone as every little person grows at their own pace.

Just a note on sizing. . .

Measure from the tip of the longest toe to the heel and add 1cm to 1.5cm for growing room. It may be best to go up a size if your little one is midway between sizes. If you are unable to measure the foot as it may be a gift, we suggest going the next size up.

- They’re totally washable too! Can be machine washed in a delicates bag and laid flat to dry.

These pair of size four are the reason I preemptively own a second pair in size five. Excellent quality and are exactly what I was looking for. A well-crafted pair of shoes that would protect my child's feet while enabling them to experience the textures of the ground and develop, under as natural circumstances as possible, utilizing all muscles, and tendons without extra weight of bulky stiff shoes.
