Tiles are beautiful. However, these hand made tiles are best used for a smaller project. There are variations among the tile (some are flat some are slightly curved and stick off the wall; sizes are slightly - but not significantly - off on some tiles). The tiles were exactly what we wanted and worked very well for a fireplace surround and hearth. However, I am not sure that they would work well on a larger project (i.e. larger wall backsplash). They are so beautiful though and the handmade look really adds to the character of our home. Ordering and shipping was very very easy and very very reasonable.
