This metallic blue longhorn beetle (Sternotomis mirabilis), can be found glinting in the sun from Northern South America to Bolivia. It is sure to bring a touch of vintage tropical charm to your home.

All my works are hand drawn colored pencil illustrations. They are Giclee printed on 100% cotton fibre, 290 gsm acid-free, conservation grade, Italian-milled fine art paper.

Individual metallic longhorn beetles come in many different sizes and colors - some are uniformly green, bronze, or blue, and some have bright yellow bands across their wings. These guys belong to the family Cerambycidae, more commonly known as longhorn beetles due to those incredibly long antennae.

All art illustrated by Rachel Diaz-Bastin. Each fits standard sized mats and frames.

All prints are signed by the artist.

I have a gallery wall from the very top to very bottom that is roughly 8x20'. Most of the art is insect art. THIS piece, is BY FAR, my favorite piece! The details and the realism is just fantastic! And to top it off, she sent me not one, not two, but FOUR extra freebies that I just had to find frames for and display because they were just so beautiful. AND the shipping was lightening speed.
