Aki Kuroda, born in 1944, is a contemporary Japanese painter and artist who has lived and worked in Paris, in France for over 30 years. Noticed since 1980 for his silhouettes and monochrome canvases, he surprises with the richness of his creation and his constantly renewed inspiration.

Paintings are only one face of Aki Kuroda's creations. Sculptures, photographs, installations, dance performances complete a much more diverse and rich imagination: the garden, the body, the life, the city, the cosmos. He collaborated with architects like Tadao Ando and Richard Rogers to create relief paintings in Japan.
