This storage bench works great in entryways for shoe and coat storage. It is also versatile for storage in living rooms and bedrooms. The lid is plenty sturdy to sit on and the lid has a special lid that holds it open when in use. It is made from reclaimed wood which looks great in farmhouse, rustic, western and Scandinavian Decor. Ships fully assembled.

COLOR OPTIONS
Naturally there is a lot of variation between any two pieces of reclaimed wood so each trunk will be wonderfully unique. However, we strive to choose colors quite similar to the photo. If we have special options at the time of ordering you'll be able to choose them during checkout. Contact us about custom colors (lighter, darker, etc).

The lumber used is from barns in rural Missouri that range from 40 years to over 100 years old. Many barns fall into disrepair and are falling down and we work with the owners to get all the usable barn wood so it can go on to have a second life. Many of these barns would just be burned or left to rot so it is a lot of fun to reclaim the lumber and make it into usable items.

The item you receive will not be the exact same as the photo but will be very close. Items made from real barn wood can't be replicated perfectly due to the lovely uniqueness of each piece of wood. However, I strive to choose wood colors and textures that are as similar as possible to the listing photos so there are no surprises. Amazing! The chest arrived way faster than I expected, and is positively gorgeous. It is very well-made and holds several blankets and a room’s worth of cleaning supplies for me. The interior has a lovely old wood fragrance (cedar?) and the hinges are super handy. Looking forward to being back to buy other pieces!
