Our extendable table range comes with 2 end leaves measuring 30cm each leaf. These slot into the ends of the table when required and stored separate from the table when not in use. All prices shown on this listing are for the extendable range tables.

You may choose your size, any finish finish from the Farrow and Ball range for the base and any finish from our range of finishes for the tops.

Please note once we have commenced work on your table, usually the same day as your order has been placed, cancellations are not possible as our furniture is custom made to your specifications.


DESCRIPTION:

Our farmhouse furniture is made with solid quality “Grade A” Kiln dried wood, ensuring your piece is of superior quality to that of reclaimed wood or scaffold boards, which can be prone to warping due to high humidity levels.

Each solid wood top is unique, planed and sanded to a smooth finish, using only the best quality oils and waxes to protect the wood. This offers a beautiful, durable, rustic and hard wearing finish which can be easily cleaned and maintained.

Our furniture is made with mortice and tenon joints ensuring it will last for generations to come.

TABLE & BENCH TOP INFORMATION:

Our Grade A rustic furniture, tables & benches are handmade using fully seasoned Kiln Dried Wood and checked for humidity levels.

All wood tops are handmade to order so will have variations in colour, finish and wood grain as wood is a natural product so variations are to be expected.

Wood will expand and contract depending on relative humidity and moisture content changes in the atmosphere. With wood movement there may be slight seasonal changes to your wood, this is normal and to be expected with any natural wood product. There may be knots, dings and slight cracks to the wood which is part of the woods natural beauty.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR FURNITURE:

All wood must be allowed to come to a state of balance with its environment in order to prevent moisture-related damage. This state of balance is called equilibrium moisture content, or EMC.

For example, if a table top is sealed off with a pvc cover, this will cause naturally occurring moisture only to penetrate from below the table, the uncovered side. This will cause the lower side to swell while the upper, sealed off side remains the same. This can result in a warp in the table. Without the pvc cover on top, both sides would have absorbed moisture evenly and the table would have expanded and contracted with minimal (or no) warping.

To avoid this from happening, do not cover your table top on a permanent basis as this will imbalance the equilibrium of the table. Only use covers or coasters when in use and remove once you have finished your meal.

****For day to day cleaning, surfaces treated with Fiddes Hard Wax Oil can be dry wiped, swept or vacuumed. To clean the table, lightly dampen a cloth with water or use a microfiber cloth that will cling to dust particles on its own. Wipe up spillages promptly and never allow water to sit on the table top! Do not use abrasive products on your table and bench tops.

****Do not place the table next to a radiator and avoid in rooms where there is underfloor heating. The temperature changes could damage the wood with warping or splitting.

***Watch humidity levels. As with all woodwork, from flooring to trim, from dining tables to other furnishings, try to keep humidity levels in your home between 40 and 45%. Any lower could crack the wood and any higher could cause swelling. This may mean running a humidifier in the winter and an a/c or dehumidifier in the summer.



DELIVERY

Our UK delivery service DOES NOT include SCOTLAND, SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS, CHANNEL/
OFFSHORE ISLANDS, NORTHERN IRELAND or any island.

Delivery to these locations will be extra, please email for a quote PRIOR to purchasing, thank you.
If you require delivery to these areas, please email me and I will add a listing for you.
Please note: we do not currently ship outside the UK

Once completed, we will ship your furniture via an overnight courier or an independent courier depending on your order. If we use an overnight courier, you will be provided with tracking information. We will otherwise give you a contact number for our independent courier who will contact you to liaise a suitable delivery time.

Deliveries will be made any time between 8am and 8pm and dependant on the couriers routes. The courier fee is low as the courier will deliver when in your area and offer kerb side delivery only. If you would like delivery on a specific day, please message me before placing your order for a delivery quote.

Your delivery may come in 2 or more separate boxes depending on your order. Please check you have received all your items prior to signing.

RETURNS:

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, if you buy goods from us online or by phone, your consumer rights entitles you to cancel your order and obtain a full refund if you request one within 14 days after delivery of the goods.

EXCLUSIONS:

This right does not apply to our custom made Furniture. These products are made to your specification. Returns will not be accepted unless they are faulty or damaged upon arrival.

We offer a 7 day window to report items which have been received with damages. Please inspect your table upon arrival and let us know straight away and no later than 7 days of receipt of the item if there is a problem and we will get back to you to resolve the issue.

Cost to return our furniture will be at the customers expense.

Once you have returned your furniture and we have received it, we will inspect the item and issue a refund within 10 days of the item arriving with us if it is found to be faulty.

As this particular listing is for a custom made item, hand made per order, where you can choose your finish, size and base, we will only accept returns in the unlikely event that there is a fault with your furniture.

You will be required to pay for the return shipping of your item to us. Once your item is received, we will inspect the item and issue a refund within 10 days of the item arriving with us.

We do not accept returns for change of mind.

Cancellations are not possible once we have commenced work on your table, which is usually the same day your order has been placed.
