Beautiful, elegant and efficient way to compost indoors. Stop throwing your food waste into the landfill!

3 bin upward migration system is ideal for 1-2 people. Contains: 3 (16" x 16" x 4") stacking bins, lid, base, screws and hardware, and quick-start manual. Overall assembled dimensions are 16" W x 16" D x 16" H

**Worms are not included** Worms can not be sold on Etsy, but are available on many websites. I recommend that you do not order your worms before your composter arrives.

**Due to supply chain issues, there is little to no blue stain in my current beetle kill pine lumber. Same quality reclaimed lumber without the coloring. See picture 2 for the current look.

Includes my custom drip pan made from 26 gauge sheet metal drip pan which is designed to fit perfectly. Heavy duty, easy to clean and built to last! See picture 5 for what it looks like.

This unit is accurately machined and predrilled for easy assembly. Shipped unassembled and unfinished. A screwdriver or drill driver is the only tool needed. Can be assembled and oiled in an hour. A single coat of walnut oil is recommended on all wood surfaces to extend the life of the composter.

If you are interested in composting with worms, don't buy a Chinese plastic model. My vermicomposter is made of beautiful blue-stain pine...a much nicer home for your worms!

Due to the high cost of shipping USPS, this item ships only to the US 48. If you live in HI, AK or overseas, and purchase, I will unfortunately need to cancel your order.

About beetle-kill pine: The mountain pine beetle has decimated the lodgepole and ponderosa pine forests of northwest Colorado. From this seemingly tragic loss, there is beauty. As the beetles lay their eggs, a blue-green fungus stains the outer sapwood layers of the tree. The result can be a dramatic patterning of blue and cream colored wood.

FAQs: Please read
1) Can this be used outside? It is designed to be used indoors. Worms need constant temps between 50-90 degrees, shelter from rain and sun. If you live in a rare climate where those conditions can be met, then you can try using it outside.
2) Does it smell? No, properly used it does not smell.
3) Do I need to used walnut oil? Can I use ______ oil? You can use any food grade oil. Avoid non food grade oils or high smell oils such as boiled linseed oil. I recommend walnut oil because it works well for me.
4) Is the wood treated? No
5) How many worms should I buy? 1 lb of red wigglers for the 3 bin, 1-1.5 for the 4 bin, 2 lbs for the 5 bin. PLEASE purchase worms after composter arrives. Worm juggling can be a hassle.
6) Does it come with a user guide? Yes, and an assembly guide too. Both are available for free on my website. Check them out before you buy.
7) If I want to expand, can I purchase extra bins? Yes, 2 extra bins are available for purchase on my website along with finishing kits, drip trays and bedding

This is a relatively-easy to assemble worm bin that is sturdy and attractive! I also purchased the custom tray so that I could harvest leachate without the hassle of finding the correct baking sheet. It is a perfect fit under there. I oiled everything after it was assembled, but used a different oil because I couldn't find walnut oil at my local grocery store. I made my worm bed and added soil and some compost. My worms seem happy and they have also started to climb with ease into the top layer where I have richer compost. I definitely recommend this product!

Product came on time, was easy to assemble, and has been working amazing for my worms! Love this composter! I could not have made one like this if I tried.

Love this worm bin!! I've done composting before but it was always outdoors, since moving into an apartment I really wanted to get back into it but I didn't have enough closet/cabinet space to stick a bin in and I hated the idea of having to look at some ugly plastic thing all day! I just happened across this bin early this summer and immediately bought it... and I've been LOVING it. It's so SO pretty and it works just the way a vermicomposter is supposed to, my worms seem to be happy and they stay put. The bins come un-assembled and un-oiled but the directions were super clear and I didn't have any difficulty putting them together, even with my weak little baby hands. Absolutely recommend this bin.
