In loving memory of the extremely talented musician Chris Cornell (1964 - 2017), this is his portrait drawing in graphite pencil and ink pen. This listing is for the prints only and not for the original drawing.

Chris was (and is) one of my favourite vocalists of all time, the range of his voice is astounding to listen to, and the emotion he puts into every note can melt even the stoniest of hearts. I will forever regret not having a chance to listen to him live. Chris was best known as the vocalist of such bands as Soundgarden and Audioslave. I feel it is also important to note that Chris ended his life in suicide - I mention this in hopes of raising awareness and ending the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

I began this drawing in early 2018 and finished in November 2018 (yes, it takes me forever to draw anything). The drawing is from a reference photograph by Mel Melcon, which was taken in 1991 for Los Angeles Times.

The sizing is not a standard paper size, therefore any prints purchased will need to be custom framed for perfect fit. Alternatively I can adjust the print to A4 size, which means that the print will have top and bottom border (see picture 3). Please choose between the two at the checkout. A giclee print is done on a archival quality paper with high quality enduring ink that will last for 70 to 80 years or longer.
