The A4 ‘Gouache’ Commission style is finely painted with care and attention to detail - all your Pet’s quirks and markings are captured down to the last dot! One of my most popular packages, this classic style is perfect as a special piece of art for your home or a truly thoughtful gift for friends and family.

With a beautifully matte finish and the signature ink outline, my ‘Gouache’ Portraits are bold and contemporary. Every Commission is hand-painted and you will always receive the original artwork.

All you need to start your Commission are a selection of high-quality images of your Pet. The best reference photos are ones which are taken from your Pet's eye level, in good natural light (either outside or with your Pet facing a window) and show the entire figure from head to tail.

Please feel free to send your images before you place an order if you’re uncertain! I will happily give you feedback and let you know which image I would base the portrait off so were both ‘on the same page’.
Once your Portrait is almost finished, I will contact you with progress pictures to check if you’d like any tweaks making before the Original is sent off.

Commissions usually take between 2-3 weeks to arrive at your door, but I do always try and accommodate shorter deadlines where I can! So if you send me a message before ordering to check if it's possible for your illustration to be sent in time for a particular date I will let you know ASAP.

All my Commissions are packaged in a biodegradable alternative to cellophane and posted using Royal Mail ‘Signed For’ Delivery in hard-backed mailers with extra 2000 micron board for complete protection.

Yes of course! For more than one Pet within the same piece there are a couple of options. We currently offer Double Portraits on A4 and Double/Triple Portraits on A3. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a photo of the Pets together in real life; providing that your reference images are taken from the same angle in similar lighting, with a bit of artistic licence and guidance from yourself I can ensure the final composition looks accurate and shows each Pet at their best.

Portraits typically take between 7-10 working days from your reference images being accepted to the finished piece arriving at your door. If you need it in time for a particular date (eg. It’s a gift for a special occasion) do let us know prior to ordering, we cannot guarantee it will always be possible, however, will do our very best to accommodate shorter deadlines whenever we can. We stay in touch with you throughout the entire process so you will know as soon as it’s on it’s way and when to expect it by!
