Suggested fabrics:

Sleeves - silk, silk dupioni, brocade, taffeta, cotton brocade
Underskirt front insert - silk, brocade, taffeta, upholstery brocade
Underskirt - medium-weight calico cotton
Lining - cotton, lightweight linen
Ruffs - very lightweight cotton (batiste or lawn)

Not suitable for knits. Avoid using thick brocade for the gown and the attached sleeves - together with the stuffed rolls it will make the gown very snug.
