All of our products have a linseed oil/beeswax finish to prevent rust. Simple care is required to maintain original finish. Apply a thin layer of linseed oil and rub with a clean cloth. Usually once or twice a year is sufficient. Due to the nature of steel, rust may develop over time but can easily be avoided with occasional maintenance Flat black powdercoating is available on our handles for outdoor use. All other products are intended for indoor use unless stated otherwise. Please note, that like any other iron product, a small amount of rust may develop overtime regardless of finish.
