I really do like this ruana. It is very versatile and can be worn in several different ways -- crossed in the front, open in the front, or one front panel over the shoulder. It fits a lot like a rectangular poncho, except that it is open in the front. As you can see from the photos, it has a beautiful drape in the back.

This item is a CROCHET PATTERN for a ruana. It is NOT A FINISHED ruana. It is a digital document that you purchase to download. The document consists of detailed written crochet INSTRUCTIONS and numerous how-to photos that together explain how to crochet the ruana.

This crochet pattern is suitable for an INTERMEDIATE crocheter. It uses standard US English crochet terminology. It has been tested for clarity and accuracy by a professional crochet designer.
