What bulb should I use?

The drum lampshades have a flame retardant PVC and for all lampshades I recommend using energy saving bulbs. The firm Drum shades include a converter plug to adapt to UK/European fittings. The hand stitched shades are usually for UK fittings only and will be treated with a flame retardant spray but I would also suggest only using energy savings bulbs with these. Details of the bulb size will be included when posted. Please note, due to the size of the pattern on certain fabrics, your lampshade may not show the exact image illustrated.Every care is taken to produce a shade that will be very similar and will have a good pattern on it. Colours are reproduced as accurately as possible however there may be some variation.

Can the shade be used on the ceiling?

Yes, all of the lampshades can be used either on a lamp or on the ceiling.

What fitting should I order?

If you are unsure then please get in touch. I am always very happy to advise. In the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand you will order the UK fitting. They will work with either smaller UK fittings or with larger European or E27 fittings. Generally in the US you will need to order a Harp Fitting. This will be if your lamp uses a finial.

Do you offer other shape lampshades?

Yea I can offer many different sizes and shapes. I can make square or oval shades. They can only be made with the U.K. fittings.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Shadowbright are working to reduce the amount of plastic that we use in orders. We are now using biodegradable bubble wrap for all lamp shade orders.

The blue scandi trees lampshade as a dark blue fabric with a green and grey trees design. This fabric is designed by Shadowbright. This lampshade looks great in the home. This lamp shade will fit on either a table lamp, floor lamp or on the ceiling. The lampshade can be made in several different sizes and shapes. If you would like something that is not listed please get in touch. The fabric is available in other colours and also on cushions.

All of the lampshades are lovingly handmade in my studio in Manchester, UK. The lampshade pictured is 40cm diameter.

15 cm diameter x 18 cm height is perfect for a very small lamp.
20 cm diameter x 18 cm height looks great on a small bedside lamp but will fit either a ceiling light or a table lamp.
25 cm diameter x 18 cm is a wonderful in between size which looks great on table lamps.
30 cm diameter x 21 cm height looks great on a tall table lamp in the living room or on the ceiling.
35 cm diameter x 24 cm height looks great on a smaller floor lamp or on the ceiling
40 cm diameter x 24 cm height is suitable for a floor lamp but also looks good on the ceiling

Fitting Information

The lampshade come with a standard fitting for all worldwide fittings. The 20cm and the 30cm shades can also be made with US harp fittings. please see the picture for an image of the two different fittings. Please select the option on the top right of the page when ordering.

The lampshade has white PVC lining which is flame retardant and has passed all of the necessary tests.

This lampshade is made to order and will be dispatched within 5 days. Base not included. If you are based in the UK and you are looking for a base please get in touch.
