Say the blessing for donning tzitzit* and then let this hand dyed tallit settle lightly on your shoulders. Let its soft drape and elegant, shimmering colors connect you with the beauty of Divine Spirit. Know that this tallit was made for you with the intention of hiddur mitzvah (beautifying a mitzvah). May you feel sheltered beneath the wings of Shekhinah when you wear one of my tallitot.

When a friend asked for a light weight tallit to wear on a trip to St. Louis for a bar mitzvah, I knew the coolest fabric to wear is linen. So, these handkerchief weight linen tallit were born. The swirly striped designs, inspired by Medieval Andalusian art**, are the work of my husband Kevin Cain, and the beautiful calligraphy printed on the atarah (neck band) is by artist Risa Aqua.

This listing is for tallit made to order. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery.
If you need it by a certain date, please check with me, I might be able to get it done sooner.
Choose color and size on checkout.
For a Custom Color, send me a convo with your ideas, and I will create a custom listing for you.
Custom colors add an additional $36 to the price.

Fabric: 3.5 oz linen
Available in two sizes: 18” x 78” & 15” x 72” (may vary slightly)

Text on the atarah is the standard blessing.

*Tzitzit are the ritually knotted tassels (fringes) on the corners that make a shawl a tallit (a Jewish prayer shawl). Prayer shawls without tzitzit can be ordered for those who follow other spiritual or religious traditions.

**The source of inspiration are the illuminated border designs found in the Kennicott Bible. Made in Spain, this Bible, dating from 1476, is considered the finest Hebrew manuscript in the collection of the Bodleian Library at the University of Oxford.

Shipping costs include tracking and added insurance. If you want to add Signature confirmation, let me know in the notes when you order. There may be an additional charge.
