My house / studio is smoke free. I do, however, have a dog. He isn't really allowed in the studio, but as the studio is actually a room in my house and he has free run of the rest of the house, it is likely there will be a little bit of dog hair on your items.

My bags are machine washable on gentle cycle, cold water and tumble dry low. Note that washing the stuff sacks will cause ruffling in the drawstring casing. This is normal and does not affect the functioning or durability of the bag.

This is my “stuff sack” bag design. It is a soft bag that opens wide for easy access and is made from a Dia de los Muertos-inspired Sugar Skull fabric just perfect for toting and protecting your knitting or crochet project.

This bag is the small size and is 9.5” wide by 11” tall when lying flat, and 9.5” tall when standing. It is perfect for socks or a hat project, or even a small shawl. As you can see from the photos, the bag will easily hold 3 balls of fingering weight yarn, with room left over for your needles / hooks and accessories.

The bag is made of cotton and is fully lined with no exposed seams. This bag is lined in off-white cotton and closes with a drawstring closure.

Why a drawstring? Zippers and Velcro are the natural enemies of yarn - your precious yarn can be entangled and damaged severely by these closures. A drawstring keeps your yarn safe while securely closing your bag.

Each of my bag styles have evolved based on my experience and ideas as to what the ideal project bag includes. The stuff sack bag features the following:

The bag handle is nice and soft, a one inch wide loop made of the same fabric as the lining, double stitched for durability.

The coordinating drawstring cord has a double-hole cord lock to keep your bag securely shut when closed and the drawstring from sliding out when open. The double-hole cord lock helps prevent your drawstring from becoming tangled.

There is a clear plastic zip-top pouch attached with a ball chain to a loop just under the handle of the bag. (I use this pouch to store the yarn tags and project name for the items in the bag.)

I always line my bags in light colors so you can see your stuff even in low light.

The side seams inside the cord casing have been zig-zag stitched for more durability and to prevent fraying inside the cord casing as the cord slides back and forth.

The bag is constructed with a gusseted bottom for stability and durability.

The interior pocket is 4.25” square and is reinforced at each corner to help prevent your hooks or needles from poking through.

The bag is washable on cold water, gentle cycle and tumble dry low – except for the plastic pouch and ball chain, which should be removed prior to washing. (Note that washing the bag will cause some ruffling in the drawstring casing. This is normal and does not affect the functioning or durability of the bag.)

Note that the yarn pictured with the bag is for size comparison purposes. The purple cake is 100 grams of fingering weight yarn, 357 yards wound on a standard ball winder and swift. The balls are 50 grams of fingering weight, 231 yards. The yarn is not included with the bag.
