A reproduction fine art print of my 'STREETVIEW' illustration.
ABOUT THE PIECE —‘STREETVIEW’
This drawing is based on people, things and scenes found on Google streetview. A boy running somewhere in Dhaka. A man strolling through a street somewhere in Jakarta. A couple checking something on their phone in Maun. Men asleep on a bench in Southern Sovania. The side of a building somewhere in Poland. I’m completely fascinated by Streetview. The original of this is drawn in different kinds of cobalt blue: pencil, gel pen and crayon. I wanted to get a Delft-blue style look going, and I sent off for as many different drawing materials in cobalt blue as I could, but they all came back in such different shades of blue. I have no idea what the real cobalt blue should look like. But there we go.
Available unframed in a variety of sizes. (Please see the information below before choosing your paper and size).
AVAILABLE ON TWO PAPER TYPES
• 230gsm FINE ART PAPER—archival non-fade, non-yellowing, water-resistant paper. This smooth matt ultra-white paper reproduces the original artwork (particularly hand-drawn work) incredibly well. The original work is drawn on a very similar stock, and this paper results in a near-perfect copy. Each print is individually signed and dated.
• 300gsm GLACIER PHOTO PAPER —a lightly textured, glacier satin, heavy duty photographic paper that offers a bright and zingy reproduction of the artwork. Particularly impressive with artwork that is digital in origin. Also resistant to cockling (wrinkling). These photoprints come with my signature printed. If you prefer your photoprint signature-free, please let me know in the order.
• Prints are made with a 12 ink colour process using archival inks.
• For protection and general longevity of your print I recommend framing the print under glass.
