This listing is for 18g (1.0mm) handmade copper ball head pins, perfect for jewellery making. Each one is made individually and tumble polished to a beautiful shine. Choose your length and quantity from the drop down menus.

These genuine copper ball pins will be handmade to order, so a slight variation to the photographs should be expected. They are made by using a blow torch to ball the ends and then pickled to remove fire scale. Finally they are cleaned and polished to a lovely shiny finish and to work harden them back up a little. They will be soft to work with. Due to the way they are made with a blow torch they will not have perfectly smooth balls as you can see in the photos but this adds to the handmade charm of a piece.
-PLEASE NOTE - These pins are not suitable for use in sewing.
Unprotected copper will tarnish, it can easily be brought back to a shine with a silver polishing cloth. These head pins are suitable for oxidizing/ antiquing/ patinating.
