Because great care is taken to provide accurate measurements on each garment, returns due to poor fit are not accepted. Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

ABOUT G & G MEASUREMENTS:

Measurements are listed in full. They are taken with the garment lying flat (seam to seam), then doubled where appropriate.


Bust: Across the bust directly under/below the armpit

Waist: Across smallest part of waist or across back waistband

Hips: across fullest part of hips (8-10" below waist)

Shoulders: measured from one shoulder seam to the other shoulder seam

Sleeve: top shoulder seam to cuff

Length: top of garment to hem at longest point

Rise: center crotch seam to top of front waistband

Inseam: center crotch seam to hem

Thigh: across thigh just below crotch

Ankle: across leg opening at hem

Sweep: across bottom edge of skirt

WILL IT FIT ME?

Vintage clothing sizes are not always compatible with current sizing models. Also, it is very likely that the sizing tags are no longer on the garment. So, it is very important that you double check your own measurements and compare them to the measurements noted on the garment’s description. To do this, use a soft measuring tape (the kind used for sewing) to take all measurements. Don’t measure yourself OVER your clothes! But, DO measure yourself over the undergarments you plan to wear with the vintage garment.

BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust and continue around back, while wearing a bra.

WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your waist where it naturally curves in just above the belly button.

HIP: measure around the fullest part of your hips. This is usually about 8” or so below your waist.

LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, where a normal shoulder seam would lie, down the front, to the point you want the garment to end at the hem.
