Suffering from sports related pain, I wanted to find a way to help with my pain in a natural way. I found microwavable rice bags, and I loved them! I keep one in the freezer for cold therapy, and one handy to microwave for heat therapy.

The rice bag measures 11 1/4” long x 5 1/2” wide when laying perfectly flat and rice is evenly distributed.

The rice bag weighs 26 ounces. It is a medium fill therapeutic bag meant to drape nicely over shoulders, knees, abdomen, etc. Gently shake the bag after heating to evenly distribute the rice before applying it. The Fabric is 100% Cotton.

You can also choose to add a peppermint or lavender essential oil or lavender/peppermint to your bag. *Please note: if you are highly sensitive to scent, these are made in a sewing shop that uses essential oils, and are shipped with other orders that contain essential oil scented bags, so completely scent free cannot be guaranteed when they arrive.*

For Cold Therapy (cold relief that doesn't melt) - Directions: Place in freezer for at least 1 hour in zip lock bag.

For Heat Therapy: Directions: Microwave on high for 1 min, flip and shake the bag and continue heating for 30 seconds or up to one more minute. Make sure it is the right temperature before applying to your skin. All microwaves are different, so you will tweak this to the perfect temp for yours. These rice packs retain heat for 30 minutes. Not recommended for infants or babies.
