This Red & Gold Quilled Snowflake Ornament is handmade and embellished with gold rhinestones.

• Quilling is the art of turning thin strips of paper into coils that are then shaped and arranged to form decorative designs.

• I only use acid-free paper for my quilling strips in an effort to ensure heirloom-quality. The metallic quilling strips I use are imported and have a hand-applied foil edge instead of spray-on gilding for superior luster. The nature of the foiling process limits the edging to one side of the strip.

• Ornaments come attractively and securely packaged in a specialty gift box with a booklet describing a brief history of the art form along with my materials and processes. Please see the last picture to view a sample boxed ornament. If you buy 3 snowflakes, I do offer an option to box them as a set. • This ornament measures approximately 2 3/8" in diameter. Including the gold hanger, it measures approximately 5 1/4" in length.

• As a quiller’s coils can vary depending on the conditions they are created in, every ornament is unique. There may be slight differences between the ornament pictured and the one you receive. Each type of ornament comes in a custom gift box that I designed with presentation and security in mind, and made from acid-free materials to ensure the long life of the ornament. I recommend storing the ornaments in their boxes when not in use.

When packaged for shipping, the ornament boxes are surrounded on all sides with bio-degradable packaging peanuts inside a sturdy box. I conducted extensive shipping trials using this method with no breakage occurring.

The thread suspending the snowflake in the orb can sometimes get wrapped around the wire during shipping. If this happens, carefully pull the wire hanger out of the cap, which should allow the snowflake to hang freely. Gently squeeze the end of the wire hanger as required to reinsert it into the holes in the cap. If that doesn't fix the problem, contact me.

This ornament is beautiful, hence the 5 star review. My only negative is that it is tiny! I should have paid better attention to other reviews that mentioned the size. I was hoping for something larger. It appears larger in pictures. My fault for not being thorough.
