These earrings are grand handmade reproductions of beautiful Mexican Talavera tiles. A larger tile for a bolder statement. Ready to ship in crafty packaging.
The handmade tile measures 2cm by 2cm square, and sits in an antique bronze lace edge setting. Beautiful frosted teal glass beads dangle and fly free! The drop length of the earring is 6 cm ensuring the earring will not go unnoticed!
I recreate and hand make vintage Mexican Talavera tile patterns in miniature form. Paying homage to Bakelite and Lucite jewelry of the past, the miniature Talavera design is printed by me on to 1/16th inch thick plastic. I then carefully coat the tile cabochons in a layers of glassy resin. The result is a lightweight, cabochon that looks exactly like a miniature tile- minus the weight, dust, and lead of ceramic.
