Our homemade watercolors make our hearts sing even more.
They not only look good on paper, in the watercolor paint box or in our small tins.
We try to the best of our ability to keep color differences as small as possible. Unfortunately, since our colors are handcrafted using a complex process, they can still happen. All of the materials we use, as well as the pigments, do not contain any chemical additives and are labeled as non-toxic by the manufacturers.
Since each pigment reacts or combines differently with the binding agent, different colors within the pots may have different consistencies. Some are very solid and may crack during the drying process (this does not damage or reduce the color value or properties of this watercolor paint), others are less hard.
There may be minimal color differences between the item photo and the product color.
Our watercolor paints are made with gum arabic. Gum arabic is extracted from the resin of the African acacia tree.
For this purpose, the bark is scratched in a V shape, the resulting plant juice is dried and processed until it is food-grade.
As a food additive, it has the European approval number E 414.
E 414 is considered harmless, but can cause allergy or asthma symptoms in sensitive people.
