The standard wire for cartilage piercings is 1.2 mm (16 gauge). Some products are also available in 1mm (18 gauge) wire. Lobe earrings have a standard 0.8mm post.

Diameter for hoop is internal.

All silver will tarnish over time and need cleaning, especially if you keep you jewellery on in the shower etc. Your new jewellery comes with some cleaning cloths-a pink piece impregnated with silver polish to clean the jewellery, then a yellow piece to buff it afterwards. Another great and simple method to clean silver is by using an old toothbrush and some washing up liquid with warm water.
