I've been inspired to work with zodiac signs because I like the idea that everyone can relate to it. Some might not be into horoscopes or personality types, but whether or not you believe in it, everybody has one. For me, the zodiac sign is something personal because it relates to the day that I was born. I've tried to create 12 designs that are unique, and I hope you'll like yours!

I am very happy with the final design of the Taurus poster. I wanted to show the strength of this earth sign, and also the strong-willed nature that sometimes leads to plain stubbornness. I believe these to be the easy characteristics to depict visually, because of the naturally strong appearance of the bull. But Taurus, being ruled by Venus, is also about charm and grace, therefore I have tried my best to soften the bull – and create a poster with a balance between strength and graceful fragility.

Dimensions
Original old art nouveau posters are often oblong when compared to modern posters. I’ve always been intrigued by this style, and I feel the posters complement each other better in this format when two or more are hung next to each other. Additionally, the slim shape makes it easier to fit in the posters in tight spaces, such as between a door and a corner in the living room, or between two windows.

Posters: 29,7 x 84,1 cm. / Apx. 11,7” x 33”
The artwork is offset-printed on beautiful 170g cream/ivory colored Munken Pure paper. The result is a poster which is not glossy and shiny like movie-posters, but beautifully matte. This means that you will not be troubled by reflections from its surroundings, and the colors will always appear crisp and clear.
All the hand-drawings were scanned and imported into Photoshop to complete the coloration. Each color is added in separate layers, displaced by a tiny amount and adding a bit of grain to give it that vintage look.

Sustainability
I have made an effort to source everything as sustainably as possible. The prints are made on Munken Pure paper, produced in Sweden, which is not far from Denmark. All Munken Pure standard products are available as EU Ecolabel, FSC and PEFC certified. The printing itself is done at a printing company within 10 minutes walking distance from my office, and the frames (not included) are made at a local woodworker from European oak. I ship the posters in recycled packaging.

This is the second of the THREE that I own. I absolutely LOVE this art. I am still waiting for an appointment with my framer. Hope to post photos when they're done.
