What a great Montessori style piece for the bedroom! This item includes all furniture grade poplar hardwood (5" wide base, 3" wide uppers, and railings as shown in picture), hardware, and instructions for the bed frame. Our floor beds come sanded 100% smooth and ready for paint/stain so you can customize it to your decor. Painting is very easy! All you need is a 2-3 quarts of paint and a 4” roller. Dimensions shown in photos.

Wood Type: Poplar- Furniture grade and knot-free. Considered a hardwood and has more of a lighter tan look, with some color variance that can get a little darker brown toned. At times you may receive wood that has a green tint to it. This is because we mill it down and expose wood that hasn’t seen much light or air yet. Over the course of a few days or weeks (depending on the lighting and air movement through the room) the green will fade out to light tans and browns.

If you order your bed with legs, you will receive longer uprights (4 corner vertical pieces). The bottom baseboards are attached higher up on them creating legs. You can attach the baseboards at the base of the uprights if you don’t want to use legs, and then later on if you want legs all you would have to do is move the baseboards up.

Our bed's assembly process takes advantage of the pocket hole assembly method and involves driving screws directly into solid wood during assembly. With almost 30,000 beds sold over the past 6 years the pocket hole assembly method has been a tried and true assembling technique for our beds.

Tools required for assembly can all be found at any hardware store. You will need a #2 size square bit (6” long style) which is included with bed, a standard Phillips (+) bit, a cordless power drill, and an extra set of hands.

The tools required for assembly are found in the description of each item for sale in the shop. Most beds require a phillips (+) bit and #2 square bit and cordless power drill. You can get these square bits at any hardware store, even WalMart. I use these square bits because they won't strip out like the standard screws (+). Assembly with the required tools is fairly simple with the instructions provided and 2 people.

The bed is beautiful and exactly as pictured. Only downside was there were not very clear directions or help in adding the siding slats - required a lot of extra drilling and measuring on our part. I understand the spacing will be different based on the mattress the customer purchases but some suggestions or markers for where to drill those in would have been helpful. We ended up with some extra holes in ours after having to re-do it

Customer service was amazing! I was able to get the full bed with the height of the queen, which was amazing and custom. I wish the instructions were better or parts were labeled. We got a bed with legs and the instructions don’t really cater to that. We definitely put some post backwards lol but it still looks good!
