You may have heard "it is better to prepare and prevent than it is to repair and repent." This set of 2 Carhartt bib / cowboy chap style patches are outstanding for reinforcing pants that are threadbare or that you would like to prevent from becoming so.

Naturally-dyed
Cotton grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides & fertilizers
(Note: We use organic cotton fabric & thread, but are not able to justify organic certification costs for the current limited volumes we produce.)

Natural dyes used: Indigo
Indigo dye auxiliaries used depend on the fabric lot.
The indigo fermentation vat requires a reducing agent (to remove oxygen from the vat) and an alkali (to raise pH)
Reducing agents: One or more of madder root, wheat bran, fructose, white grape juice. No synthetic reducing agents (thiourea dioxide or sodium hydrosulfite) used
Alkali: One or more of soda ash, lime (CaOH), lye

Fiber is hand-dyed so lots may vary and may have slight, unique variegations. Colors displayed in screen images may differ from the actual product due to lighting conditions, photographic settings, viewer screen preferences, etc.

Care instructions: For best results machine or hand wash with like colors using eco-friendly detergent. Iron as needed. Do not bleach. As with all dyes (natural or synthetic), colors will fade slightly with age. Our naturally-dyed colors have been tested for fastness to washing, light & abrasion. That said, we are not responsible for damage to other items. Our maximum liability is limited to the cost of the patch & shipping. We want you to be happy with your purchase.
