This work discusses 18th century beauty standards in terms of your physical appearance such as your face structure, as well as criticises and advises on disorders which were seen as making a person "unattractive". Further, this work discusses the various humours of the body, an 18th century medical concept.

Most importantly, this work includes many period beauty recipes for salves, face paints, how to make your skin pale, face washes and numerous other recipes for period beauty.

This wonderfully reproduced book comes to you on period laid linen paper, hand bound with linen thread, suitable for collectors, historians and those with a passion for classic literature and antique books. As with all books of this nature, we must note that there are numerous imperfections, as noted below, reflecting the character of the original printing.
