SIZE:
• Exterior dimensions: 16 inches wide by 12 inches deep by 9 to 10 inches tall
• Inside dimensions: 14.75 inches wide by 10.75 inches deep by 7.75 to 8.75 inches tall
• The walls of our boxes are .625 inches thick.
• To get a feel for the size - this box is at the bottom in the tier of the three walnut boxes in our photos.

DETAILS:
• We do not stain. Your box will be the natural color of solid walnut hardwood with cherry inset in the lid and cherry corner splines.
• Cherry is a fine-grained hardwood, making it perfect for detailed engraving.
• We love the look of consistent grain for the walnut surround, so we use a single piece of walnut as wide as the box is tall.
• Our exacting standards mean you will receive a meticulously handcrafted premium quality keepsake box that is perfectly proportioned.
• The solid hardwoods we select for each box we make are exquisite. How a given piece of wood has been sawn affects its appearance and physical properties.
• We do not like the look of the end grain showing; you will not find this on any of our boxes. The end grain is the wood grain seen when cut across the growth rings. We use miter joinery with corner splines, which are very strong and stable, and you will not see any end grain.
• We apply four high-quality, durable, long-lasting coats of clear finish. It penetrates the wood to provide deep-down protection, and we love the natural appearance, going on clear and showing off the grain of the wood.
