What's the difference between cultured and natural pearls?

The difference is minimal. A natural pearl forms by chance, when a foreign body accidentally enters the oyster. A cultured pearl forms in exactly the same way, but the irritant is introduced intentionally by a pearl farmer. Both pearls are produced by the same mollusk, with the same nacre. The freshwater pearls I offer are 100% nacre, which makes them particularly resilient. The only three natural colors of freshwater pearls are white, pink and lavender. Any other shade (gold, peacock, gray, black) is the result of a treatment.
