Stoneware mug is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Thrown on the potter's wheel from 1 pound 4 ounces of clay, it's design features a rim "curled" over the potter's finger. This makes it lip friendly. Mug sits on a "mock" foot with a smooth, unglazed bottom familiar to stoneware. Bottom is stamped with potter's mark. The large handle starts out round near the foot, but is flattened with a hand-roller near the top. This provides plenty of room for fingers and provides a flat area for a thumb rest. Twice fired piece weighs about one pound, is 4 inches high and about 6 inches wide from handle tip to rim. Shown here is the mug in beautiful crystal glaze Blue Caprice.
