If you need to flatten a curled print yourself, follow these instructions:

- Prepare a flat, smooth, hard work surface free of all debris, grit and dust. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly. We strongly recommend the use of cotton gloves if available.
- Starting at the edge closest to you, roll the print in the opposite direction to the curl. Be careful not to roll it too tightly or you may damage the print.
- Place the rolled print back into the shipping tube.
- Allow the print to sit. The amount of time required will generally be one to five hours, depending on temperature and humidity.
- Remove the print and unroll it image side up onto a flat surface.
- Place a few smooth, flat, heavy objects (books) on the ends of the print.

Keep handling to a minimum. Where possible, use cotton gloves to avoid the absorption of oils and/or marks from your fingers. To avoid damaging the printed surface, do not place the printed side face down on any surface or object. Do not expose your print to extreme temperatures or humidity.

The use of quality archival materials for mats, backings, spacers, as well as UV protectd glass, will improve the long term archival properties of the print.
Do not spray mount or use tape to adhere the print to a mounting board – the adhesive can cause damage to the paper

Turnaround Times

With the current COVID-19 situation turnaround times have increased a little. The fine art printers I partner with are working with a reduced rotating staff and enhanced and strict safety precautions.

Depending on where you live production times have usually increased only by a day or two. In the most extreme cases by a week or more. I'm trying my best. I want you to know you will get you prints or canvases as soon as possible!

Yes. All the people in the photos were asked for consent, gave permission and were paid money. Also, my local guide explains in the local language who I am, what I do and why I am there.

In Ethiopia foreigners are only allowed to enter the tribal areas with permission from the government accompanied by a local guide. Once in the village you must meet with the village chief and pay money to enter the village. This money is to be used for the whole village. After entering each person is asked and paid for individual photographs.

Damage During Shipping

All packages are shipped according to USPS and UPS guidelines and are fully insured. If your order has been damaged during shipping please contact us within 72-hours and we will replace your order at no cost. Please take pictures of all damage for proof-of-damage and keep all damaged packaging and damaged products in case is required for the insurance claim. Please contact us if you have any questions.

A Giclée print is a high quality archival inkjet print. The word Giclée (pronounced ‘Jee-Klay’ with a soft J), comes from the French verb gicler meaning "to squirt, spurt, or spray". We use the latest best-in-class Epson Sure Color P9000 printers, capable of producing print resolutions up to 1440 by 2880 DPI.
