Handmade
Materials: paint, wood, pine, douglas fir

I made the Pear stencil and hand-stenciled the block with a mustard pear. The Pear is on all four sides of the block.
The federal blue paint is accented with a black outline.
After sanding them, I carefully distress each side.
I finished with a light stain and sealer.

These Blocks were made by my husband for my Folky Make-dos.
One was sitting by my chair ....I was hooking....the hook ended up in the hole made for a dowel or spindle....behold....my "Simple Hook Keeper".©

The Blocks are approximately 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and are made out of New Hampshire Pine.
The holes are approximately 1/2".

No two are exactly the same as each is lovingly created and finished by Hand♥.

Very helpful, functional and well-designed holder! I just bought three of them. This pear design will grace my desk at school this fall. Two others I purchased in an alphabet design that spells WOOL are for my rug hooks. The hooks are held so well by this keeper. I am hooking a rabbit rug, and I don’t have any more frustration of temporarily losing my hooks beneath the piles of worms. :)
