Unique Spalted Red Maple Handmade Wood Bowl

Unique to say the least. Have you ever seen such a beautiful bowl. Splating is such a sought after thing to find in any piece of wood. No spalted piece of wood is the same, each is one of a kind and unique all by itself.
Spalting is the black lines that you see in the wood. It is actually a fungus that begins when a piece of wood has set outside after being cut for a period of time. It can actually turn to rot very quickly. So catching it at the right time is crucial.
In this particular piece it makes such a beautiful design and gives it such character.
And lets not miss the beautiful design of the bowl and undercut rim. A great centerpiece or even Serving piece for any home or gift.

14 3/4" across the top
4 1/8" tall

All of my pieces have the type of wood written on the bottom as well as my signature. Each piece can take anywhere from 3 months to more than a year to make.

Care:
A minimal amount of care is needed to ensure it's preservation. It is however HAND WASH ONLY.
Dishwashers get too hot and it WILL break. It is not microwave safe.
All items are finished food safe. Care and instruction are sent with purchase.
Red sauces are not recommended!
