Early 1900s antique dress form with metal cage impeccably transformed into a work of art with cornflower blue waffle weave barkcloth with pink and yellow cabbage roses. The dress form is adjustable in height and the cage expands as well. A metal key adjusts the height of the mannequin. The base is cast iron and quite sturdy. At one time I found a date on it but I can't seem to locate it now. However, if memory serves me well, it dates to the early 1900s. It is a genuine antique dress form. I purchased this item from an antiques dealer about 15-20 years ago and have always been in awe over how this item had been beautifully recovered. Not only is the fabric gorgeous but the upholstering is seamless. This item would be stunning in a vintage sewing room, a romantic shop display, boudoir or dressing room, or simply displayed in a shabby cottage chic home - anywhere vintage textiles might be displayed. The decorating possibilities are endless ~ swath in tulle, drape with necklaces, dress up in an old prom dress or other antique frock or simply put it in the corner and admire it.

Condition is Excellent vintage, save oxidation to the metal cage and some rust and scratches here and there on the metal parts. Overall, it is in amazing shape and is in working order.
