This exquisite Spanish bourgeois costume from the late 16th century features a short doublet with shoulder wings and breeches (haut-de-chausses).
During this time, the Spanish court was one of Europe's most influential fashion centers,
known for its opulence, luxury, and extravagance.
Men's fashion of the 16th century was characterized by elaborate doublets crafted from rich fabrics, such as velvet, silk, or brocade.
This particular outfit consists of a long-waisted doublet and breeches made from soft, natural cotton velvet.
It is adorned with decorative trimmings in a contrasting color, adding richness to the design.
The doublet features a high-standing collar and fastens at the front with handmade thread buttons. It is fully lined with linen for added comfort.
