Highlights
Master weavers in the region produce these wonderful decorative pillows and 'petates'. Made out of the leaves of a palm tree known as 'huano', the leaves are treated to make them soft and manageable and then are colored with natural dyes. Tightly handwoven to perfection, this particular design was left in its natural color. The edges are finished with a special yarn that has been hand-stitched in black and the inside is filled with polyfill. The pillow is two sided and is ready to by styled.
The result of this intensely handmade process are pieces with a depth of character, warmth and personality that communicate in a way that only a handmade piece can.
Dimensions are 20" x 20". The weave design is beautiful and it is a very labor intensive job. The entire process is handmade. Use indoors or outdoors in protected areas and keep away from the sun. Wipe clean.
