Early 1940's vintage cloche hat. Gorgeous pink/fuschia 100pc wool hat with glossy black feathers and 3 large rhinestones. Original black netting veil in excellent condition, includes a shiny black antique hat pin. Wool covered buttons on either side, see photo. Made in USA by the Merrimac Hat Corporation, tag inside hat states "22". It measures seven inches across inside band and 7 1/2 inches back to front. This hat is in excellent vintage condition, no flaws.
This hat was worn by my beloved grandmother, Elsie, who always wore a hat whenever she left her home, as was the trend at that time. She was a collector (as you will see, stop by and visit again!) and this hat is among her more fancy ones. It is from the early 1940's and was lovingly taken care of, as were all her precious hats.
