Painted signs are created from 1/2" thick birch wood and are sanded, primed, sanded again, then 2 coats of professional grade Benjamin Moore paint in a furniture grade finish are applied to your sign - there is no comparison to spray paint. 💛 CAPITALIZATION:
We will cut the name according to the capitalization that you give us when you type your name(s). Please type your name with the capitalization you desire.

💛 CONNECTIONS OF LETTERS:
Letters such as "j" and "i" contain dots that are not naturally connected to the letters when previewed in our font previewer. However for ease of hanging we will connect the dot to the base of the letter unless you specifically tell us otherwise. You may do so in the "personalization" section above.
Additionally, we will usually connect any letters to each other that are disconnected (often this happens with a capital 1st letter) so that you are shipped 1 single wooden sign. However we do reserve the right to leave a capital letter disconnected for legibility reasons or if we feel the connection between the 1st and 2nd letter will be too weak. You have the right to specify exactly what connections you would like or request a proof and we will design as you instruct. If we do not receive instructions for you we reserve the right to use our best judgment.

We will do the same if you have multiple words such as "Nora&James" unless otherwise specified. If you prefer for your letters or words to be disconnected in any way please also specify this to us in the personalization section.

💛 MULTIPLE WORDS:
We can certainly cut multiple names, words or phrases. Please be sure to specify if you want your words separated or connected to each other. Please keep in mind that all words will be cut to fit inside your overall width selected. For example, if you order a 12" wide sign for the phrase "You Are So Loved", the entire phrase will measure 12", not the individual words themselves. If you wanted each word to be 12", then you should order 4 separate 12" signs for each word. If you are uncertain of your configuration simply order a proof and we will work thru it together.

💛 ORDERING 2 NAMES?
For the names to be proportional, you will want to order the total width you would like BOTH names to be.

Names: Olivia James
Size: 48” wide

💛 PROOFS:
Want to see your sign before it gets put into production? No problem! To add a proof to your order, simply add the digital proof listing below to your cart along with your wooden name sign order you would like to receive a digital proof of. Please note that this will increase the production time of your order. A full proof is a digital PDF that will display your specific name showcasing the exact way it will be cut with any connected letters or capitalization as specified above or according to the preferences you list in the personalization section when placing your order. Please note that we provide proofs for customers who have placed orders and are unable to provide proofs for those who have not yet purchased. We promise that we will work on your name until you are happy in the proofing process.

💛 HANGING + HARDWARE:
No hanging hardware will be included with your sign. There are a number of ways to hang your sign, please use the method that best suits you. Many customers find that using a generous amount of 3M or Gorilla mounting tape is an easy and strong way to adhere your wooden name sign to your untextured and even walls. No hanging hardware or strips will be sent with your sign, but they are readily available on sites such as Amazon and your local hardware store. Alternatively, putting nails into the wall and hanging the sign from the loops of the letters also works well. This is a superior method if your walls have texture or are uneven.

💛 FINE PRINT:
Many of our fonts offer a whimsical, hand lettered look. This comes with some natural characteristics that lend to the character of the sign. Overall, when it's hung on the wall it's going to give a way to that whimsical look. These details are part of their charm. We do offer many classically shaped fonts as well and we recommend that you steer away from hand lettered fonts if you don't enjoy the hand lettered characteristics of the font.
