I call this one Golden Spring for its golden, opalescent glow. I made it by hand from a salvaged vintage brass frame and antique and vintage leaded crystal prisms hand stained in barely-there-pink and alternating light yellow, with spring green/aqua accents. I used a new gold lustre finish, which gives everything a warm glow without being gaudy. Some of the older prisms have a higher lead content, which gave them a wonderful, frosty effect when fired. Because everything is salvaged and many of the prisms hand cut, not all are the same exact size, and some hooks and connectors may be different, which is the price I'm willing to pay for not leaving a carbon footprint. Rather large at 26"h. x 19"w., this uses eight (8) candelabra bulbs, 40 watts or less. Please indicate hard wired or swag at checkout. Installation should be done by a professional electrician. Queen Decor is not responsible for accidents resulting from improper wiring and installation.

This chandelier is very special to me. I broke two ribs making it. I probably alienated several friends who said I should leave the prisms untouched. I almost put an eye out. OK, the latter and the rib thing were the results of my own stupidity: I fractured my ribs when I was standing on an unstable stool to work on it, all the while thinking, "This is unsafe. This stool has pitched me before", right before it pitched me into the very hard arm of my deceptively beautiful couch. And the eye thing? I was staining the bottom ball, which is lead crystal and quite heavy. I held it up over my face as I tilted my head back to make sure the stain was even on the bottom, when I lost my grip and it dropped and hit me square in the eye. Luckily, no black eye ensued.

Jenny was a delight to work with in every way. She answered all of my questions and when I asked for advice she was great and guided me correctly. She even threw in light bulbs which was not her responsibility. Adding to that I failed to mention that my chandelier needed a crystal ball hanging from the center and she sent that to me for free! I just wish I had a bigger house so I could work with her more!!! She’s a true artist.
