10 different colors sold in your choice of set size. Hand crafted, 4'' long and 1/2'' Dia chime candles. Perfect for spell work, meditation, rituals or other spiritual work. Please note that these candles are rustic and crafted for spell work. There are minor production imperfections such as candle mold release marks, color bleeding due to high pigment content and being stored next to other colors, and extremely slight variation in length and colors. These imperfections do not affect the use of the candle. Candles burned for anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Candles are crafted from paraffin wax and cotton wicks.
Candles have been used for centuries for magic and ritual. We light candles at holidays, a practice that takes place in many different religions, cultures and traditions. Candles invoke the divine, and they create a sense of ceremony.
Candle magic harnesses one of the 4 elements: fire—the element of transformation—that brings change.
Ever since human beings discovered fire, they have been in awe of its power, and they sought to harness that power, mostly to use its transformative abilities. We continue this ancient tradition when we practice candle magic.
Candle color meanings:
White - Purity and new beginnings. Use in rituals involving healing, new beginnings, and spiritual growth. Also appropriate for Lunar and Goddess workings. Also associated with prayer, remembrance, and devotion. May be substituted for any other color candle when that color is not available.
Black - A banishing color associated with transition and rest. Absorbs negativity, helps to break bad habits, or mark the end of a phase in your life. Used in many protective spells.
Red - Red is the color of sex, love, power and vitality. A red candle draws these qualities to you, and aids you in any spell work that requires strong, fiery energy. A red candle is often used in conjunction with black—burn the black candle first to banish negativity, then the red candle to draw in fresh energy. (So-called "dual action" or "reversible" candles combine red and black into one candle.)
Dark Blue- Use in spells involving emotional healing, truth and justice, dispels anger and to seek truth.
Light Blue - (Currently not available, substitute is Brown) Helps call upon the peace and patience of the element of Water. Carries a gentle, but powerful energy. A very spiritual color, blue can help awaken and heal the psychic mind.
Brown - Represent a connection with nature, stability, and grounding. Helps to establish strong roots and have a better understanding of our surroundings. Its energy can also be used to bring healing, balance, and protection from negative forces.
Yellow - Associated with the element of Air and the powers of the mind. Burn for success in school, or to enhance communication in a relationship. Increases focus and intuition. Great choice for business spells when you need fresh ideas and inspiration.
Green - Use in money magic. Green is the color of success and abundance. Light a green candle when you want to mediate and reflect on nature, growth, healing and the good luck that makes finding employment or business success possible. Green is also used to invoke the lighter qualities of the Earth element—good luck, prosperity, and celebration. It is a good choice for Faery workings and rites of Springtime.
Orange - Evokes ambition and creativity. Orange candles are well-suited for career workings, or any other time you need to assert your strength and individuality.
Purple - The color of mystery and magic, purple is associated with psychic matters. Use a purple candle for divination, astral travel, and to strengthen your connection with the unseen realms. Historically the color of royalty, purple is also suitable for magic related to wishes, ambition, power and authority. Burn with white for spells of love, intimacy and friendship, as well as wishes of all kinds.
Pink - Manifests love, devotion, friendship and faith. Putting a flame to a pink candle means that the devotee is interested in forming a partnership or is possibly seeking affection or perhaps emotional healing. The color of universal love, pink represents the purest form of love -- unconditional and enduring. Pink candles are used in rituals to attract attention or achieve some other joyful purpose.
