4" PASTEL PINK PEONY BABY NURSERY GIFT FIBER ART WALL HANGING HOOP EMBROIDERY
Embroidered flowers are the focal point of my hand sewn, crewel style art pieces. I choose a palette of attractive tones to complement the background that I crochet in wool. I embellish my pieces with vines, berries, leaves, smaller flowers and branches to complete the look I wish to attain. On this hoop, I added rose gold metallic beads for sparkle!
The implementation of my wool-on-wool, textured embroidery on a crochet background is my unique idea. I freehand my designs, meaning I don't use patterns. My designs are my own and my designs are copyrighted. I "sign" the back of my work with a little disc. The embroidery hoop serves as a frame and is lightweight for hanging on a simple nail.
My embroideries look stunning on a wall with other hoops or with plates, botanical art and photos. They also would look great propped on a mantle or shelf with your decorative collectibles. See some mix and match hoops:

MY MAKER PROCESS
• Using solid shades of wool (or sometimes fine gauge wire), I hand crochet a circle (or sometimes an oval) that I mount inside a hoop which then becomes the frame. Doing the embroidery is my favourite part! I often bring back woolen yarns of various textures and thicknesses from my travels so I have a large selection to pick from. I scout flea markets and antique shops for vintage embroidery hoops, which I prefer to use as often as possible.
MY INSPIRATION
• Flowers inspire my creations. I study closely how they grow, how they are shaded and how their stamens, calyxes, leaves and buds appear. I don’t use embroidery patterns. I freehand my design onto the background as I go and that is why each piece is unlike another. I have an extensive knowledge of embroidery stitches, which I use freely to attain texture and detail.

• Lastly, please note that colours can look slightly different in person as compared to our screens and devices.
VERY IMPORTANT!!!
• DO NOT remove the contents from the hoop in any way because you will most likely not be able to restore it. The hoop is a piece of fiber art and was made as intended by the artist. You will receive the hoop the way it was photographed and sent to you so you can see what you are getting. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances for hoops that have been tampered with.
