LEGEND OF THE KELPIE

Beware of the Kelpie for it is not to be trusted! The Kelpie is a legendary creature that lives in the rivers and lochs of Scotland. The Kelpie can pose as a man or woman, but most often takes on the form of a horse and is believed to have the strength and power of ten horses. The Kelpies attracts its victims by posing as a lost but friendly pony, and is especially fond of children. Unsuspecting victims are doomed as soon as they touch the Kelpie as its skin is adhesive and once attached there is nearly no escape. The Kelpie’s long mane restrains hands that touch it and its tail wraps around its captive’s waist, securing the doomed victim as it plunges into the darkest depths of the nearest body of water. Finally, as the last breath leaves its victim the Kelpie feeds on its flesh. All that is left are the lungs and the heart, which float to the surface as a warning to those nearby!

~ The design size is 6.3 x 8.1 inches (16 x 20.6 cms).
~ It is 87 stitches wide and 114 stitches tall.
~ It is stitch on 14 count Zweigart aida - Vintage Country Mocha.
~ Is pictured in a 7 x 9 inch picture frame.
