Seller's description
Specifications
Chester Blackberry Plants are one of the most reliable thornless blackberry varieties available, offering high yields, excellent cold tolerance, and flavorful fruit that ripens later in the season. Ideal for fresh eating, canning, freezing, and baking, Chester produces large, firm berries well into late summer and early fall, extending your harvest window after earlier varieties finish.
This vigorous and productive plant thrives in USDA Zones 5–8 and is well-known for its disease resistance, winter hardiness, and easy maintenance. Its upright, thornless canes make harvesting safer and simpler for families, home growers, and u-pick gardens. Chester grows well in garden beds, orchard rows, and trellised plantings, rewarding you with dependable crops year after year.
Each plant ships dormant as a bare root plug, ready to establish quickly during spring or fall planting.
