Custom Lightsaber Install Service - Lightsaber Upgrade (CFX)

This listing is for a Custom Lightsaber Install service on an empty hilt or as part of a full Lightsaber Conversion including some GE sabers.

*Please Note* This listing is not for a new lightsaber, it is a service provided where I install the internals. In order to perform this service I require an empty hilt supplied by the customer, or a lightsaber you would like to have converted.

The features of this service include:

Crystal Focus X Install:
1. Crystal Focus X soundboard, comes with 14+ sound fonts, smooth swing, has a built in mute function etc.
2. Built in premium speaker or bass speaker
3. Color Changing Tri-Cree LED with Flash on Clash/Lock-up/Blaster Effects capabilities, or Neopixel hilt end adapter.
4. 18650 rechargeable battery holder and chassis (Battery not included unless built in battery)
5. Momentary switches for ignitions,effects and font cycling.
6. Possibility of having multiple functional accent LED installed on the hilt which can be programmed.
7. Crystal Chamber options available for compatible hilts.

Are you looking to have your GE saber converted? I can convert most GE sabers! Converting a GE saber is typically harder than installing an empty saber. My reccomendation is to consider trading a GE saber for an empty saber that is more prepared to accept the custom electronics. If that is not an option please reach out to me about the upgrade and we can talk
details about the project and what to expect.

I will be purchasing all of my parts from The Custom Saber Shop. My ability to acquire parts for each individual build is subject to their stock availability, please be aware that some installs could be delayed several weeks depending on what they don't have stocked. I will be using CFX soundboards for all custom installs. These units have to fit inside of your saber, with small possibility of adjustment, in order for me to do the install.

If you are looking for a CFX install I will be using a custom 3D printed chassis for your install.

If you need an install done for a Thin Neck Lightsaber I charge a small amount more depending on the hilt due to the extra work getting everything to fit inside the hilt.

CFX installs will come with a RGB color changing in hilt LED by default unless specified otherwise. If you would like a in hilt Neopixel adapter instead of the in hilt LED I will install that instead at no additional cost. Please note that I will not be providing Neopixel blades with CFX installs.

I will be providing two options to choose between what speakers you would like to have mounted. Premium speakers are loud and provide a more crisp sound, Bass speakers will provide the lightsaber with some rumbling and deeper sounds.

If you are looking to have a lightsaber converted to include an upgraded soundboard please choose the "Conversion" option. The cost differences here are associated with required conversion kits needed to properly install on the lightsabers. When selecting a lightsaber to be converted please include in the order notes the type of lightsaber along with the year (Typically located on the bottom of the pommel). Empty hilts do not require this option, instead they utilize a standard heat sink module which is not as costly.

For custom conversion installs I will not order the parts until I have confirmation that the lightsaber has been shipped to me. If you are having me install on an empty hilt I will need various pictures of the hilt to determine if a custom install is possible. If I determine an install is possible, I will not order the parts for the install until I have personally received the hilt. In order for me to order the appropriate sized parts to install on the empty lightsaber I need to take correct measurements. Installs on empty hilts will take a few more weeks to complete than standard conversion lightsabers because of shipping times.

For Graflex installs (Vintage, TGS or Roman) I will have to provide a custom made blade holder along with the install which is reflected in the additional price, if you already have this blade holder please let me know before placing your order and I will subtract the cost of the part from your total.

*If additional payments need to be made or the saber is installed and not paid in full by completion, I reserve the right to recover the costs of my expenses through forfeiture of the hilt after 30 days of inability to complete payment.

FAQs:

Will you provide any weathering to the empty hilt if requested? Unfortunately I will not be providing any weathering services, if you would like small things done to the metal prior to install please contact me to see if they are possible.

Will my Lightsaber come with lock-up or blaster effects? Unfortunately the NBV4 does not have the ability to provide those effects, but the CFX does.

Can you install on a Kylo Ren (Crossguard) style saber? I can install a Crossguard with CFX Soundboard.

Can I use one soundboard for a lightsaber staff? You will need two soundboards in each side of the hilt to run the LEDs on a staff.

Can I get my saber with in-hilt recharge? Depending on how everything fits in the hilt will determine if I will do in hilt recharge or removable battery. I will always aim at having a removable battery if possible.

Can I have an illuminated switch installed? This depends on the hilt, this is something that needs to be determined after I have examined the hilt.

Will my converted lightsaber still use and on off switch (latching)? Your new lightsaber will need to be converted over to a momentary switch as the CFX responds properly to a momentary switch. There are options to have both but it depends on the hilt/

Will my lightsaber come with a battery or battery charger? The lightsaber will not be shipped with a 18650 cell battery (Due to shipping restrictions) or a battery charger. Both of those components can be acquired from The Custom Saber Shop, and some electronic suppliers.

Will my lightsaber come with a blade plug or blade? Your lightsaber will only return with a blade plug or blade if it came with one.

Can I have accent LEDs or a Crystal Chamber installed on my Lightsaber? Yes, if the lightsaber permits it. I will be including additional options which include installing accent LEDs. I am willing to install crystal chambers depending on the hilt.

Typically how long does an install take? Typically between 4-6 weeks for a conversion install and 4-6 weeks for an empty hilt install. Any install should not take me more than 6 weeks to complete.

Can I duel with my custom installed lightsaber? That depends on a lot of factors, the main being the integrity of the hilt it is installed on.

Can I have a hilt ordered and sent directly to you for an install? Absolutely, as long as I can get a good look at some pictures to determine if an install can be done.

Will my lightsaber have a secondary tactile switch? Yes it can, the lightsaber will have at least one momentary switch, which will allow you to boot the saber and change fonts on the fly. In some cases there may be a single button activation for a CFX.

What sound fonts are pre loaded on the soundboard? There are 14+ sound fonts on the default CFX package.

Will you do any custom programming for my lightsaber soundboard? I typically send sabers with the default packages and the basic programming. If you need specific programming done please feel free to contact me about it. however if it is more complicated programming I will have to charge for the time it takes as custom programming is a very time consuming project.



What batteries will I need?

If I do not supply and in hilt battery you will need to get a lightsaber appropriate battery. Do not use any batteries for other electronics as they may have difference electrical outputs. If an improper battery is used for the saber I am not response for the damage caused to the soundboard.
