Just when am going nuts, they will actually hold the thread end .... Beginner at sewing, and I cannot leave the tails long enough! They can hold a single piece of thread!!! I keep the red clip on the bobbin thread before I cut. And the purple one on the top, so I know which one to pull longer... It takes a few minutes to get used to it, but then it saves so much time. I have not figured out how my machine is constantly drifting the top material quarter-inch, so I clip the top edge and it helps. Probably doing a lot of things non-traditional and less efficient.... ;-)
