The Lovely Bunnies are crocheted from hand spun angora (bunny) fiber. This fiber is from my own bunnies and the proceeds helps to support their care.
Angora is extremely soft and light and has a unique halo that is not present with other wools. While this makes an excellent gift for babies, it is also a thoughtful and helpful gift to people with anxiety and sensory issues. The smooth fluffy texture helps to soothe the person holding it.
The hearts are made from angora that I hand spun and then dyed yellow with dandelions and daffodils.
Hand wash in cold water and air dry. Heat and agitation will cause the bunny to shrink and felt.

*Some people who have cat allergies, have found they have had the same reaction to angora wool.
More on My Angora Bunnies:
They are given fresh water, hay, and protein pellets daily. They are given regular treats of fruits, greens, and herbs (depending what is in season). Every 3 months they will go through molting or blowing their coats. This is when their current coat of fiber starts to shed off and a new coat starts to grow in. I typically pluck the old coat off the bunny. This does not hurt them and is an important part of grooming.
They go with me to craft shows when the weather is cool and spin directly from them if they are molting. They have also accompanied me on the occasional school visit to teach children about them.
