This handcrafted necklace is made from thick copper wire formed into a unique undulating wave-like design and then enameled with multiple layers of vitreous enamel - each requiring a kiln firing at 1450 degrees. The necklace has several different colors, but mostly earth tones - burnt orange, yellows, and blues and is strung on brown leather with copper findings.

Note that the colors appear more bright and pronounced in the photos with the black background and more subdued in the photos with the white background. To my eye, they are actually somewhere in between, but I have captured them as best I could.

This special one of a kind piece would make a great gift for one who appreciates artisan made, nature inspired jewelry. This necklace is one of my favorite creations -- and I hope the wearer of this piece gets as much joy in wearing it as I did in making it.
