Highlights
The Sand Pail Ornament Kit includes everything you need to construct ~ONE~ beautiful Nantucket style sand pail ornament of ANY COLOR (painting the pieces is part of the craft).
The kit includes a specialized mold plus comprehensive instructions to guide you step by step through the traditional weaving and assembly process using hand-selected high quality materials. Create your own heirloom ornament, and partake in the Nantucket Weaving tradition.
Full kit contents are shown in the photos provided. The kit features a reusable mold, and high detail resin pieces, including a lovely sand dollar accent and star plug. Silver/stainless swirl ornament hook and rings add whimsical appeal. The white resin pieces as provided make a beautiful ornament, or can be painted (I recommend nail polish) according to any theme desired.
This kit provides an opportunity to experience Nantucket Lightship Basket Weaving without a large initial equipment investment, and to actually try out the techniques used by craftsmen for over 100 years. If you'd like to make more than one, order a KIT (with the mold and instructions) and additional REFILLS which have everything else except the reusable mold and instructions.
Difficulty level is medium/intermediate. Ideal for a solo weaving introductory experience. Also great for social crafting: girlfriend parties, bridal, and all manner of group therapy - see the party pack photo (sorry - wine and basket tray are not included).

Makes a great gift: kit straight to a crafty friend, or as a finished product to anyone with taste. If you’re inspired to create a set, hang on to that mold! Kit materials refills are available at a reduced cost.
Finished sand pail ornament hangs a generous 8” high. The finished bucket portion is 2.5” high (not counting the handle). Bucket diameter is 2”. Recommended for indoor use.
